Public Works Seasonal Worker and Lifeguard job openings

Interested in a summer job?  The city has lifeguard and a seasonal public works job available.  More information and job applications are available on our website – cityofgoodhue.com or by stopping by City Hall for an application.  Applicants for seasonal public works position must be 16 years of age or older.  Lifeguard applicants must be 15 years of age or older and hold the required certification.

Right now, state and federal representatives are going to decide on bonding bills and how to distribute funding for local projects.  We have been to state capital to meet with state representatives to stress the importance of Goodhue/Wanamingo/Pine Island/Zumbrota project to be on their list for money.  This funding will significantly reduce the burden on residence for this much needed construction of this joint sewer project.  Click Here for more information on the project.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the City Council of City of Goodhue, acting as the planning commission, will meet on Wednesday, February 26th at 6:00 PM (or as soon as possible thereafter) in the City Hall Council Chambers, 405 Broadway N, Goodhue, Minnesota, to consider an application from Goodhue Rental, LLC, requesting a variance to the Zoning Ordinance No. 200 Section 4.5 Subd. 2(d): 1st floor apartment use of building for the properties located at 203 and 215 N 2nd Street, Goodhue, Minnesota. Brush Pile

Goodhue residents benefit from a great resource in having a brush pile available for their yard waste.  Recently, we have had nonresidents and out-of-town businesses depositing into our brush pile also.  Our brush pile is for Goodhue residents only, and only yard waste is accepted – no other garbage is allowed to be put here.  The fine for out-of-town dumping is $250.
